A lot of the data we collect and analyze are structured. We may have students nested in classrooms; schools nested in districts; employees nested in films; etc. Multilevel modeling is a technique used for data that have hierachichal or clustered strcutures. Participants should be familiar with basic regression techniques. No prior expereince with multilevel models or advanced mathematics is needed.
