Examining the Causal Effect of Skin Color in Online Dating

Emilce Santana is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Sociology Department at Texas A&M University. Her interests broadly include race/ethnicity, immigrant integration, and social stratification. She is especially interested in examining determinants of interethnic and interracial relationships and colorism. Her work has been featured in The Sociological Quarterly and Race and Social Problems. She received a PhD in Sociology with a specialization in Population Studies in 2019 and a BA in Sociology from the University of Pennsylvania in 2013.
