Dimitrios Argyros is a dedicated Ph.D. candidate in Economics at University College Dublin (UCD), specializing in Development and Health Economics. Since commencing his doctoral studies in 2021, Dimitrios has focused his research on the interplay between financial infrastructure and child health outcomes in rural India, the intergenerational transmission of health, and the role of subjective expectations about health in determining intra-household allocation of resources in rural Malawi. His work explores how income shocks and parental investments influence children's long-term well-being.
Dimitrios holds an M.Litt. in Economics from UCD, an M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Warwick, and an M.Sc. in Finance from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
Beyond his research, Dimitrios is an active contributor to the academic community, having presented his work at numerous international conferences. He has been recognized with several awards, such as the Irish Research Council Scholarship.
