Penn Today reports on a Perry World House lecture with former South Korean Prime Minister Chung Sye Kyun, moderated by PSC/PARC Research Associate Hyunjoon Park. The lecture focused on South Korea's successful response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hyunjoon Park (PSC/PARC Research Associate) was featured in a Penn Today article about a momentous gift from James Joo-Jin Kim and Agnes Kim to create the James Joo-Jin Kim Center for Korean Studies, which will provide long-term support for academic and community-focused activities. “The establishment of the Kim Center will magnify interdisciplinary teaching and research that integrate social scientific and humanistic approaches and embrace comparative perspectives that connect Korea to broad global communities in addressing worldwide challenges such as inequality, climate change, migration, and pandemics,” said Hyunjoon Park.
Hyunjoon Park's (PSC/PARC Research Associate) Demographic Research paper, "Diverging Gaps in Childcare Time by Parental Education in South Korea," was selected by the editorial board as one of the best papers in Volume 44 and will be included in the Editor's Choice collection.
