<div class="panel-panel panel-col"><div class="inside"><div class="panel-pane pane-node-body"><div class="pane-content"><p>I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Population Aging Research Center, University of Pennsylvania. I received my Ph.D. in Demography from Princeton University in 2019. As a mixed methods demographer, I study the causes and consequences of international family change. I combine demographic and ethnographic methods to explore how socioeconomic development and inequality influence patterns of living arrangements, women's empowerment, union formation and intergenerational relationships. My work further highlights how these changing family patterns influence various health outcomes over the life course. My in-depth study of household patterns in India undergirds this research approach, which my current work expands in a comparative perspective with projects in Malawi and sub-Saharan Africa more broadly. My research is published at Population and Development Review and Asian Population Studies and has been presented at annual meetings of the Population Association of American and the American Sociological Association.</p></div></div></div></div>
