Minghong Shen is a Ph.D. Candidate at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and HKUST (Guangzhou). His research interests span a wide range of topics, including urban vitality, family demography, social stratification and mobility, and statistical and computational methods. Minghong has developed an R package called "statart," which integrates Stata's useful commands into the tidyverse framework. Recently, he participated in the SEEDS project on early child development in urban China.
Minghong earned an M.Sc. in Global China Studies and an M.Phil. in Social Science from HKUST. He also holds a B.A. in Social Work from Nanjing University.
