Description

Starting this April, researchers at the Federal Statistical Research Data Center in Philadelphia will be able to access large amount of non-public health data provided by Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS). In response to many requests for information from potential users, Dr Sandra Decker - an economist at the AHRQ since 2015, following 10 years at NCHS - has agreed to come to Penn to discuss available data, the process of getting access to the data, and information on proposal development. Dr Decker has deep knowledge of the available data and is a leading researcher using these datasets. She has also reviewed the proposals to access the data on behalf of AHRQ and NCHS. Some information about the data is not well documented in publicly available sources. This is a great opportunity to learn about these data and get all your questions answered. I would encourage all faculty and students who might consider using these data now or in the future to attend.
