Speaker Biographies

<p>Luca holds a Bachelor and a Master of Science in Economics and Social Sciences from Bocconi University in Milan. His main research interests span the disciplines of demography, economics of education and policy evaluation methods. Among these, he is interested in studying issues of family poverty and inequality, intergenerational transfers, fertility dynamics, and interactions between life-cycle events and the education process.</p> <p>Prior to entering the program, he worked as Research Assistant at Bocconi University on a randomized experiment on financial literacy in high schools. He then moved to the University of Oxford, working on the design and launch of a collaborative blog on global population issues named <a href="http://www.openpop.org/">openpop.org</a&gt; and collaborating with the “Young Lives” International Study of Childhood Poverty, as he would like to use Young Lives data as a starting point for his doctoral research. Finally, he worked with JPAL/IPA in Zambia and he was a member of the Social Cohesion Unit at the OECD Development Centre in Paris.</p>
